Growing (i365 Day 248)

I don’t have green fingers. According to my past experiences, the plants that I planted eventually died. Understandably, all gardeners want to see their plants growing instead of dying.
As followers of Christ, we are called to grow the church. It’s sad to see dying churches, but it’s delightful to witness congregations growing in numbers. Definitely, we have to learn what makes a church grow. The book of Acts speaks of one of the many causes of church growth, and one important factor is believers must be strengthened in the faith.
Let’s ponder the words of Acts.
Ponder: 5So the churches were strengthened in the faith and grew daily in numbers. (Acts 16:5 NIV)
Post: Let’s post a question to God. “Dear Jesus, could You strengthen my faith?”
Practice: Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that your church can be strengthened in the faith and grew in numbers.
Proclaim: Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your prayer for church growth with your pastor and end the conversation with a prayer.
