Someone with wits wrote the following house rules:
If you drop it – pick it up;
If you sleep on it – make it up;
If you wear it – hang it up;
If you spill it – wipe it up;
If you turn it on – turn it off;
If you open it – close it;
If it rings – answer it;
If it whines – feed it;
If it cries – love it.
God grants His people house rules. On one hand, we can understand His mind and standard through His rules. On the other hand, we can have a better life on earth. Exodus 20 contains the Ten Commandments. Let’s ponder God’s house rules.
Ponder: 1And God spoke all these words: 2“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 3“You shall have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:1–3 NIV)
Post: Let’s post a question to God. “Dear God, could You give me the determination to keep Your house rules?”
Practice: Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray for the determination to keep God’s house rules.
Proclaim: Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your endeavour of keeping God’s house rules with a fellow believer.
