Out of Control (i365 Day 205)

If you look around, you would easily find the world is almost out of control. It’s sad to see many people are totally out of control. Some individuals cannot control their thoughts. Almost every person cannot control their temper and tongues. All in all, the lack of self-control is one of the culprits of this broken world.
The Apostle Peter speaks of the need of having self-control in our lives. Let’s ponder the reminder of Peter.
Ponder: 5But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, (2 Peter 1:5–6 NKJV)
Post: Let’s post a question to God. “Could You help me to control my thoughts and emotion?”
Practice: Let’s practice what you learnt. Whenever an evil thought pops up in your mind, pray for God’s grace to overcome it.
Proclaim: Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share with a loved one about your lesson of learning self-control.
