A Transient Life (i365 Day 190)

When we don’t have anything to do, we usually kill time by doing trivial things. “When you kill time, remember that it has no resurrection.” (The Bible Friend) It is a wise saying that we need to ponder over and over again. Life is short and there isn’t much time left for us to kill. Edward Young says it well: “Time wasted is existence; used, it is life.”
Ever since I have become a believer, I came to realise that time is very precious, and I want to live my life to the fullest. Psalm 90:12 states that life is transient and we should live wisely. Let’s ponder the prayer of the psalmist.
Ponder: 10Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away. 11If only we knew the power of your anger! Your wrath is as great as the fear that is your due. 12Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. (Psalm 90:10–12 NIV)
Post: Let’s post a question to God. “Could You teach me how to live my life to the fullest?”
Practice: Let’s practice what you learnt. Ask God to help you to live out your life to the fullest.
Proclaim: Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share with a believer your desire of living out your life to the fullest.
