Prisoner of Time (i365 Day 189)

Whether we are aware or not, time flies by us with a lightning pace, and consequently time has left its marks on us. Because of that, around the world, men and women, young and old, are spending a lot of money on skincare and cosmetic products in order to deter aging or to hide its unwelcome marks. Like it or not, we cannot do too much to turn back the clock, as we are prisoners of time.
Ageing is unavoidable, but growing old with wisdom is a choice that we can make. Whether you are still young or old, being wiser is a path that you should walk on. Let’s ponder the reminder of James.
Ponder: 13Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” 14How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. 15What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” (James 4:13–15 NLT)
Post: Let’s post a question to God. “Could You teach me how to use my time wisely?”
Practice: Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray for the wisdom of using your time.
Proclaim: Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share with your family your new timetable and ask them to pray for your new resolution.
