n theological schools, I have learnt many theological jargons. But, as a rule, I seldom use these terminologies in my preaching, or else, people would doze off, or their minds would have wandered to a distant place. Let me illustrate this. People might have difficulties of understanding the meaning and essence of the term “monotheism”, but if I tell them: “There is only one real God. Although there are other supernatural beings, no other creatures can compare with Him.” I think it is easier for them to grab its meaning in this way. That’s true, God has no equal!
Let’s ponder the words of Isaiah.
Ponder: 18With whom, then, will you compare God? To what image will you liken him? 19As for an idol, a metalworker casts it, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold and fashions silver chains for it. (Isaiah 40:18–19 NIV)
Post: Let’s post a question to God. “I understand there is only one real God, but can You help me to understand the trinitarian truth?”
Practice: Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you can understand the trinitarian truth.
Proclaim: Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. After understanding more about the trinitarian truth, speak boldly about it to a non-believer when opportunity arises.
