During a family dinner, a believer grabbed the golden opportunity of turning an ordinary conversation into an evangelistic occasion. A non-believing family member raised his voice and said, “No one has ever seen God. As for me, seeing is believing.” The Christian responded in saying, “Well, it’s very true that no one has ever seen God, but Jesus Christ has already made God known to human beings.
The central character of the Bible is Jesus Christ. By getting to know more of the Gospel account of Jesus, we would have a better glimpse of God. Reading the Bible is a means to see God with our eyes, that is to say, we can turn the biblical facts into our own experiences, which is a way to see Him with our spiritual eyes.
Let’s ponder the words of John 1:18.
Ponder: 18No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known. (John 1:18 ESV)
Post: Let’s post a question to God. “Could I see You in a better way?”
Practice: Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you can see God better with your spiritual eyes.
Proclaim: Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share with a seeker your recent experience with God.
