Godly Sincerity (i365 Day 148)

More and more conspiracy theories have slowly surfaced in the past few decades. With a lightning pace, cover-up stories are circulating in social media. In a simple sentence, ordinary civilians don’t trust their leaders and governments at a continually increasing rate. I truly understand this phenomenon because honesty is what most normal folks look for in their leaders.
Paul’s rivals challenged his integrity and sincerity. With God as his witness (2 Corinthians 1:12; 2:17; 4:2; 5:11), the Apostle boasted that his virtues of integrity and sincerity came from God. His boasting is not about himself but God’s work in him. As you can see, we all can grow in integrity and sincerity. Let’s ponder the testimony of Paul.
Ponder: 12Now this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, with integrity and godly sincerity. We have done so, relying not on worldly wisdom but on God’s grace. (2 Corinthians 1:12 TNIV)
Post: Let’s post a question to God. “Being honest and sincere is so hard, could You help me?”
Practice: Let’s practice what you learnt. Ask God to give you the determination of being an upright person.
Proclaim: Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share with a fellow Christian your story of pursuing sincerity.
