Too Big a Promise! (i365 Day 92)

There are couples around the world who desperately want to have their own babies. They have tried and tried but to no avail. If there’s a fertility doctor promises that they would have a child next year, it surely is a promise too good to be true!
In the Bible, there is a couple who wanted to have their own son. They were Sarah and Abraham. One day, God appeared to Abraham and promised him a son. At that instant, he couldn’t believe God’s promise.
Let’s ponder Genesis 17:16-17.
Ponder: 16I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her.” 17Abraham fell facedown; he laughed and said to himself, “Will a son be born to a man a hundred years old? Will Sarah bear a child at the age of ninety?” (Genesis 17:16–17 NIV)
Post: Let’s post a question to God. “Can You give me the faith to claim Your promise?”
Practice: Let’s practice what you learnt. As you come across a promise of God in Bible reading, pray for the faith to claim it.
Proclaim: Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. After experiencing God’s promise came true, share it with a seeker of Christ.
