My aunt doesn’t know how to swim; with a lifesaver around her waist, she encouraged me to get into the frightening waves. Thanks to her, I finally overcame my fear of the rushing sea, I learnt to swim as a child.
It doesn’t matter whether you know how to swim or not, if you fell into a lake or sea, rescuers would throw a lifesaver to you. A lifesaver is important for your survival!
In the turbulent world that we all live in, we need spiritual lifesavers. Hope is the non-physical lifesaver that we need in life! Let’s look at Psalm 119:74 (Psalm 119:73-80).
Ponder: 74Those who fear you shall see me and rejoice, because I have hoped in your word. (Psalm 119:74 ESV)
Post: Let’s post a question to God. “Lord, where can I find hope in the midst of my problems?”
Practice: Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you would experience hope in reading the Bible.
Proclaim: Let’s proclaim to others your experiential knowledge about hope.
