Sports and commercials are linked up closely. Among the many commercials that you find in popular sporting events, energy drinks are one of the most prominent. In 2014, the global energy drink sales reached €44 billion and its sales is still growing. As for many athletes and health enthusiasts, they find energy drinks beneficial to their health and energy level, but these beverages aren’t cheap at all. As for me, I consume energy drinks every day, but it’s free. My energy drink is from God. I reckon God’s Word is the energy drink that I need for my spiritual growth and emotional health. Let’s hear the words of Peter.
Ponder: 1So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. 2Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— 3if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. (1 Peter 2:1–3 ESV)
Post: Let’s post a question to God. “Lord, how can I have a better appetite for Your Word?”
Practice: Let’s practice what you learnt. Start reading the Bible and pray over the Bible verses that you read.
Proclaim: Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. When opportunity arises, share the fun of Bible reading with anyone.
